High School
Years 10-12
The ACPA Academy is a full-time pre-professional program for elite students in years 10 to 12 who are looking for a career pathway in performing arts as well as a commitment to completing their SACE studies. This intensive program sees students training approximately 18 hrs per week with our Full-time course students in subjects such as Music Theatre, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet, Choreography, Acting, Audition Techniques, & more.
Students enrolled in the ACPA Academy undertake their academic subjects at Thebarton Senior College in a specialised integrated program. The benefit of an integrated program is that subjects that have similar assessment criteria can be combined in order to reduce work load, focus on specific outcomes whilst tailoring the learning to the needs and interests of each individual.
Thebarton Senior College is located 10 minutes from our facility via public or private transport. Our Academy is the training ground for refining skills, identifying strengths and finding solutions to improve weaknesses. It offers students the opportunity and confidence they need to reach their potential and exceed all expectations preparing them for the next step which is our Certificate III and IV in Dance.
Year 11 students participate in up to 18 hours a week of performing arts classes.
These classes are in a variety of different genres that focus on enhancing the students’ performance skills and technique development.
This year provides the students further options academically with a larger variety of subjects to choose from.
All students will also complete Year 11 having obtained their Certificate III in Dance.
